Why is it so hard to make friends? Is it my age, my personality or is it the curse of Facebook?

Friendships, a tricky subject to write about as many of my friends read my blog. This is a subject I must write about though as it is an area of my life where I often feel inadequate. I’m hoping through this post I will find I’m not alone, as that would be so reassuring. If I can reassure anyone else in the process, then all the better.

Depression, Blogging and Channelling My Inner Wonder Woman

This week has been all about depression, blogging and chanelling my inner wonder woman.

Here we are, my 10th post! Since starting this blog on January 1st I have published a new post every two to three days, until this week. I haven’t posted in 5 days. So, what’s happened?

By the way, I thought coming to a coffee shop to work on this would be fun, I couldn’t find one though so I’m in the pub! Lime and Soda ordered and I’m sat on my own with my laptop. Feeling brave and like a proper blogger!

The breastfeeding debate is something I feel strongly about. Let me tell you my story, or should I say my nightmare, so you can understand why.

How I Turned My Fear Of Make-Up Into My Love Of Make-up

I want to share with you my make-up story and how it has been affected by my fear of judgement. This is how I turned my fear of make-up into a love of make-up.

Make up flatlay

Make-up is such a personal thing and each person has their own relationship with it. I love that there are no rules and that it can be fun. For many years, all I used make up for was to hide my spots and it wasn’t fun at all.

My Exercise History Or Lack Of and My First Blog Shoot!

Where do I start when it comes to my history of exercise?!

Nike Trainers

I’m one of the few adults left who has never visited the gym, not once. I hated PE at school and my hatred of sport and anything competitive went from there.

My Journey To Healthy Eating and Goals for 2017

One of my goals for 2017 is to eat healthily. I believe healthy eating can be so beneficial. This is my journey.
Deliciously Ella Warming Pesto Butter Beans

I have CFS, of which there are many symptoms that affect me including irritable bowel (sorry TMI). My sleep patterns aren’t good, I either sleep far too much or lie awake half the night. I’ve suffered with spot prone skin since primary school and whilst its currently nowhere near as bad as it once was it’s still a daily problem.

Tackling My Anxiety and Fear of Judgement

I want to explain a little more about the fear of judgement I mentioned in my first and second blog posts. It is the source of much of my anxiety.

Tackling My Anxiety and Fear of Judgement

I fear all judgement. I guess a better description would be to say I fear attention.

My Life Through a Lens

The Best Version of Kelly

I think photography is a very important part of blogging, second only to the writing. The photos add interest to the post. They catch the reader’s attention, especially when marketing your blog on social media. If using pictures of yourself they also add a personal element, this is important to me as I want my readers to get to know me and be welcomed into my life.

I was so pleased and overwhelmed by how many page views my first post received and by how many supportive messages I received from friends, family and via social media. So many of you enjoyed my post and so many have admired my bravery.

Welcome to my blog

Hello and welcome to my first blog post!

Who am I, why am I doing this and what can you expect from me?

I’m Kelly, I’m 38, I’m a British mum of two with a degree in maths and I enjoy cooking and reading. Just over a year ago, I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). I have suffered with depression since my teenage years and have often struggled with anxiety, especially during the last two years.
